birthday and barcelona...

Last week was my birthday! Look at the gorgeous bouquet sent by my fam! They are awesome.

Another favorite gift that came in the mail was a giant box of Russain chocolates from Russia! My grandma and aunt send it every year. I pretty much live off it for following weeks. Yes, it is that good. Too good!

Weeks prior to my birthday, i got to thinking whether I am where I thought I would be at this point in my life. Well, sadly the answer was no. Are you? Six/seven years ago I though that I would be much more traveled these days. So I asked myself, "What am I waiting for?" So withough further hesitation, I decided to buy a plane ticked to Barcelona! Location is not as random as it seems. I have a friend there who I used to work with; so it made sense even though i speak zero Spanish.

Long story short, it was an amazing time! The city is absolutely beautiful everywhere you look.

Come to find out, you do not really need to speak the language, as most everyone there speaks at least a little English. There are soooo many tourists and there is soooo much to see, do, eat, drink, shop, and experience! I did quite a few touristy things. How can you not? My favorite by far was the Barcelona Bus Turistic bus tour that took me around to see the best of Barcelona, all along with an audioguide.

I would so recommend this, if you are ever out that way. It gave me such a great feel for the city, as we literally went { e v e r y w h e r e }! I got on an off the bus, to see some sights that were of interest and explored more in depth in the days to come. Also, of course the trip was full of eating delicious food, shopping, celebrating my birthday, and spending time with my friend.

I have about 500 pictures! Still sorting trhough all but in the next few days I will tell you about my favorite things of the trip and share more photos. There are so many...

Got to run...xo!
