SHOP { s t o p }: Dallas Design District

Yesterday, I introduced you to Again & Again, a glorious vintage warehouse full of fabulous finds in Dallas, TX. When I initially embarked on a journey to visit this place, I thought it would be my only shop stop that evening. Little did I know, that I would end up in what is called Dallas Design District! Let me repeat that, DESIGN DISTRICT! After visiting Again & Again, I was walking to my car, when I relized that I was surrounded by one-of-a-kind shops! I quickly filled up with excitement and started my journey of vintage browsing.

I scooped up a map and made my way around to these shops:

Antiques Moderne

White Elephant

Lula B's

and Ceylon et Cie

All were different and had unique offerings and loads of inspiration. I really enjoyed Antiques Moderne. Their inventory was so incredibly overwhelming but amazing none the less. They actually have an email list that one can sign up for to receive updates on new pieces that come in. Cool, right?

Another spot I enjoyed is Ceylon et Cie.

This place took my breath away the miniture I walked in. I meeean can you blame me? The wallpaper really makes a punch.

I absolutely fell in love with these chairs. They had a black lacquered frame and stunning fabric!

Speaking of chairs in general, this shop had amazing offerings. Many had lacquered frames, which I haven't seen much of lately. Very sharp, wouldn't you say?

What about the gold shells? Totally a DIY. Everything is better in gold!

Between a few spots that I visited, I have never seen so much unique and midcentury furniture in one place. Dallas boomed in the 50/60s; so there was a surge in corporate types living in the most amazing mansions. All this furniture is making it's way to the local shops now. The variety and quality are trully impressive.

Will you be stopping in next time you are in Dallas? I will be going back, no question!
